इतिहास — “thus it was”
Itihas began as a childhood dream: to see the history of Bharat (India) alongside the rest of the world, on one line, at a glance.
It is a personal project, made by Suhas Deo for personal visualisation, with an Indian focus.
Itihas carefully gathers the work of historians, scholars, archives and reference works, and maps it visually, so that the story of Bharat and the world can be followed in one place. Every fact, text and recording is credited to its source beside it, and I encourage you to visit them. Original works appear here only where the law permits; elsewhere, links lead to the source.
